Remarkables Market opens this weekend with lots of giveaways including 15 free coffees for earlybirds buying between 8am and 8.30, free face painting and balloon magic, 50 herbs being given away to keen gardeners between 8.30am and 9.30am and 50 reusable Envirosac bags between 9.30am and10.30am.
The Remarkables Red Barn is easy to find, follow the black and white signs from the Remarkables Park Town Centre.
There are plenty of local and regional delights and goodies for the home including locally produced sausages, cheese, candles, hazelnuts, cured meats, children’s clothing, books, French bread and pastries, salmon, jewellery, free-range eggs, as well as cupcakes, and chocolate brownies.
Among those returning for the market season are Aspiring Organics, Traditional Heritage Preserves, 3 Little Rascals, Bonjour Café from Arrowtown, Melt Candles, Jackson Cupid Coffee Cart, Gourmet Kitchen, Peonies2U, Gourmet Kitchen, Fresh Fish Brothers, Waitiri Creek, Pretty Kiwi and Mayo Homewares. Also returning are the multi award-winning Deep Creek Deli, Kapuka Pork, Church Hill Salmon, Southern Jewels and Gibbston Valley Cheese.
New stallholders for this season include Stir Tea, Parioli Ltd, Fancypant Designs, Nutlands South, FSB Jewellery and Halo Dog Goodies (providing for the market’s canine friends).
There will be free facepainting and ballon magic and a bouncy castle for children with a gold coin donation to Plunket.
There are lots of opening day specials including fabulous fresh organic fruit and vegetables from Aspiring Organics in Wanaka, and Freeway Orchard in Cromwell will also be there with $10 fruit and vegetable specials.
Remarkables Market will be open from 8am until 1pm from the 22nd October until the 7th April 2011 (closed on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve).
